getting the most out of throttle cables
Posted by: ny450 - 02-23-2013, 08:32 PM - Forum: Help and How To - Replies (13)

working on my clipon setup on my 954rr and running into an issue with the throttle cable being a bit short when turning full lock to the left. im wondering if there is a way to get the most length out of the cable because i really dont need much....i removed the airbox to get to the adjustment at the throttle bodies but i really dont know what im doing when it comes to the actual adjustment. i messed around with it and it seems like this setting is the best i can get it..i forgot where the threads sat when i first got to it so idk if i even did anything lmao..is this the most i can get out of the cables (with the adjustment by the throttle assembly turned all the way in)? or am i way off lol.

and by the way i am running the cables underneath the triple and around to the throttle like how stock is...i dont see a better way to reroute them

Hey man,
I build Ar's all the time. One great thing about the AR15's is if you get a Multical lower receiver, you can go from a .22 all the way up to a .50cal bmg just by swapping out the upper receiver and magazine.

one thing you can do is get an 80% lower receiver, which is completely machined out except for the trigger group.
you drill that out and your lower has no serial numbers is 100% legal if you build it on your own.
it doesnt need to be registered or anything.
perfect gun for home protection, its what i use as well.

Any questions feel free to pm me or email me refl3x08@gmail.com

50 cal BMG? no sir you cannot. from .22 long rifle to 500S&W. the .458 is really popular but i would get any of the large calibers unless you plan on reloading you're own ammunition. if its your first ar go with the .223. i have built a 9mm ar .45acp, .223, 6.8spc, 6.5grendal, and the 50beawulf. all great and all used the same lower. if you plan on hunting big game you should invest in a ar10. i know truly everything there is to know about ar's hence my last user name ARslinger

Single subwoofer and amp install help needed
Posted by: stunt305 - 02-21-2013, 04:02 AM - Forum: Automotive - No Replies

so i picked up a sub and amp today for my car. ill be building the box this weekend hopefully and getting it in. Im reading the manual and its pretty confusing. Im using my stock head unit and some people are telling me i need an loc and some are saying i dont.
The amp i picked up http://www.polkaudio.com/products/c400_4
the sub i picked up http://www.polkaudio.com/products/mm2154

i want to bridge two channels and have 400w rms going to the sub
im confused as to if i just tap into the rear speaker wires for signal? and since its just one sub do i need signal from both sides of car? if youve done this can you please give me a little walk through
