So ive seen the threads about keeping the engine heat out of your airbox, so i tried a do it yourself method... After I installed this it took 5 minutes of the bike idling to even register a temp on the guage, which may be normal but I swear it was a lot quicker before... Havent got to ride it like this yet, but I am ready for the hot summers here in ATL now for sure...

Just bought the DCP Rad Cage and put the second fan on the bike, Have header wrap, and now this, and a little engine ice coolant...

Here are the pics of my DIY colder airbox mod... roll of metal HVAC tape and went to town on the airbox... I have about 4-5 layers over the whole thing...
ok so i got a 05 R6 and i wasnt in love with the feet postions when your standing on them and the problem with the seat popping off so i made my self a tail saver... i love it.... a couple ppl saw it and asked me to make them one. so any one looking for a tail saver for a R6 i got you.... there nothing super crazy or detailed... I recently changed over from 16 gauge alum to 16 gauge steel and changed the shape ever so slightly after a years worth of rider feedback. They use your front seat bolts to fasten it to the bike.... you do have to modify your rear seat.. you just have to cut it back a little. And I currently offer different options as follows...

1) Bare steel $45 + shipping (add $5 for griptape)

2) Powder coated and griptaped $55 + shipping (only the back is powdered because the griptape sticks better to the steel)

1) the actual bare steel is shinny. I just forgot to take a pix before I put it in the oven

2) powdered and taped

Back

Front

Now for modifying the rear seat you just have to cut back the plastic alittle... You wanna follow the bodyline of the tail plastic (1*). You pretty just have to cut the V out of the plastic on the rear set but go slow with it and cut little by little to get a perfect fit. This is to give u a general idea how far to cut back but I still recommend u cut back little by little for the best fit posable (2*)

(1*)

(2*)

Any other questions feel free to ask
| Aftermarket clutches or OEM? |

I went out to a lot for the first time the other day with my 900rr to test my righteous clutch lever and see how the bike felt with a cage on it, and the clutch burned up on me. I'm guessing it was on it's way out, because of the miles my bike has. The lever kept getting tight because the clutch was wearing, I tried adjusting it out and it kept going back. But anyways, I have read some mixed opinions on aftermarket clutches. It seems like they are kinda hit or miss with some people saying they worked great for many miles of abuse, and others saying they didn't last. The OEM clutch replacement kit is $215 or something like that from my dealer, and most of the aftermarket ones I'm seeing are half that. What do you guys suggest?
