I know with one on my kawi one time i just put a ratchet extension in there and hammered at an angle.. but i made a castle nut tool out of a socket and i did the double nut+bolt thing. oh also what works for a replacement for the bolt thing is take a spark plug socket turn it in backwards and clamp a vise grip to it.

pumped some music in the shop and kept myself busy by myself all day today..made some more progress

some more small shit painted and cleared
other fork is done just outta picture

side fairings before...the cage holes were done in a majorr rush with the fairings on the bike..these fairings have had like 3 or 4 different cages that all mounted different so i had to make the holes big. before sanding i did my best to clean up the god awful "holes" with a dremel and try make them look alittle better

doin work

after a good amount of sanding and trying to fix up the cage holes..scuffed all previous clear coat off and sanded out as many scrapes/imperfections as i could. im not gonna sand all the way to the bottom layer because itll take way too long..i already got cramps from hand-sanding every part and i still got the upper and tail to do lol. ive done fairings like this before and it should be good enough. no paintpro's paint job here

im trying to decide whether to do the fairings all plain gloss black with the teal frame/swinger/rims/small parts or do black with teal paint splatter like i had with the green. i actually really liked the splatter, but im debating on it again..whatchu think?

got the tank painted, just needs gloss clear coat...gonna order some grip tonight. prolly go the cheap way and grab a $15 surf pad off ebay. would love a full htmoto kit but im trying to keep this as cost friendly as possible.

spent ALOT of time sanding the frame down...think its probably close to ready..all main spots are scuffed well, just gonna give it a reallly good cleaning..i got school all day tommorow but i think thursday ima prime and paint it up

also painted swingarm today but didnt take pic..will wait till thursday when i clear coat it. the teal paint im using gives a matte type finish but the clear coat i use makes it pop alot better. will update when i can

and today's progress is all thanks to:
