What sportbike service manual did you read where it calls for a clip link??
If they never fall off, then why is it, that I would periodically see bikes in for service MISSING the clip?
They fall off because they were not installed properly to begin with,

U just said that it wont pass tech with a clip and now ure saying that racers use them all the time ure hopeless dude iv been working at a shop fr over 5 years and i have never seen anything about warnings to never use a clip we put clips on all the time all brand name chains come with tuem evan the ek drag race chains come with clips stop argueing when there 100 people telling u ure wrong!!!!

U retard all the drag rAce chains come with a clip style and there rated for 200+ horse power and when i say i work for a shop for 5 years i dont mean im some joe shmo puttin crated bikes together im the general manager i run the whole shop and if somthin wasnt safe to put on a customers sport bike or a safty risk i would never risk my company and thats y we put clips on bike cuz theres no dif in strength

Hey buddy, we sell the clip master links with 520 chains and rivet style with the 525/530 most of the time. It's included in the purchase of the chain. We also cut the chain to the correct length if you order the sprockets through us.
If you just want to order the chain from us, let us know your gearing size and we can cut it to size for you before we ship it.
Sometimes when the big bikes use 520, rivet style will be used instead.

So even without the clip on the link the chain was still on and doing its job??? But the clip link is a weak point in the chain why?

Agree with Bortner!!!. Ive always ran a clip link and I have had zero issues. I guess that just means Im one of the few people that can put a clip link on properly.

Wow! Another fail, that is not a strength test! Noone ever stated that bikes don't come with rivet links. Prove that they have been tested stronger as you say, or shut the fuck up already you have 10 posts in here and have said NOTHING!

The clip has more probability of falling off than a rivet. It really comes down to maintenance of the chain,and not the actual strength of the clip. Rivet style can be installed and you never have to recheck them.
