mine starts skipping when it gets hot after a long ride. just let it cool down some for now. the regulator went out last year and i put an aftermarket one on it. then in the spring it quit charging again. i checked and found the plug at the regulator melted. cut out the plug and wired in a new plug and seems fine so far but have not got to ride much since i done that. that is the only problems i have had so far.

sorry bleed looks like r6 bikes are the best ever made and me and you are the only ones to ever have any problems. it is great to know that for the most part they are trouble free.

Yamaha = GARBAGE

I'll never trust another yamaha. I had an 07 R6. Only 3000 miles and the motor took a complete dump. It fried my cylinder head, camshafts, lifters, and needed 13 of 16 valves to be reshimed to correct out of spec compression on every cylinder; not to mention impossible starts, loss of power, and the famous yamatick that nobody will ever find out what it truly is. Oil pressure would not hold to the factory spec of 11.6 psi and dropped to 5psi. Perfect oil pump, nothing in the strainer. Internal oil passage leak/defect. Racing they blow crank rod bearings, and riding them regular your looking at a shredded cylinder head due to oil pressure issues... Fly by wire is stupid as heck and the bike rode like dog sh-t......Not good bikes at all. Dont believe me......do research and you'll see for yourself. Ride Honda!
