\r\n \r\n Active duty military service is looked very highly upon on a resume when you get out. If I could do it again, I would except this time I would have concentrated more on college courses during my service instead of unnecessary warfare pins. They flew college instructors out to our ship when we were deployed but I was an idiot and didn\'t take any of the English/Math courses they offered for free. My rating had a lot of dead time underway...sitting in front of radar consoles, standing watches for hours on end....would have been a perfect time to do college classes but I concentrated more on warfare quals. (which now are kinda useless) and 8 man Halo wars on XBox LOL\r\n

\r\n \r\n my recruiter was honest as shit and i was able to get the job i wanted, but how often does that shit happen???? i went in one day, and asked him what is the hardest jobs they offer with the most training. and he showed me the pararescue and combat controller. i chose combat controller cuz i want to blow shit up. but yes like others had said, take the asvad and then decide what you want to do, and see what your qualified for. once you do that choose the job, take the (past test, needed for spec ops jobs) and then go to meps. who know your vision might be fucked or something of that nature. and to be honest dont plan on getting into the air force unless your going out for a spec ops job. they need spec ops, nothing else. there is no room anymore in the airforce or navy. but after waiting 3 months i matched up with the cct job and signed the contract now im leaving aug 30 for bmt.\r\n
