As far as I know, the difference between O-ring and X-ring chains is the shape of the rubber sealing rings. X-ring suppose to seal much better than standard O-ring because there are 2 sealing points.

x-ring seals with 2 contact points, holds lube better, less friction,
o-ring seals with 1 contact point, holds lube less, more friction You wont tell the difference at all unless you are a veteran street or mx racer, and even some of them cant tell. Dont worry about it.
