Have you tried back flushing the coolant system?

We need #'s here, how hot does it get? Does it over fill the overflow? Does it cool off if you put it in 6th and cruise around?

A little trick to help keep air out of the system is to use an aspirin to hold the thermostat open while you fill the system.

Take the thermostat out, push it open a little with your hands, slide an aspirin in the opening so it can't close all the way.

The coolant will dissolve the aspirin after you fill the system.

Does it overfill the overflow? Will it get up to 240 just idling?
