My dented tank is dented enough down to where it allows gas to leak out of the oem cap's vent. I used another gasket to try and help seal better but that isn't it. Are there any after market gas caps that seal well?

Is it due to the oem cap coming up a little up front? So instead of it sitting flush with the cap the part that actually opens is slanted a little?
This topic has been covered a lot of times already. But the solution for most people is to just get a vortex gas cap.

Yea i didnt notice he current thread trending until i posted this. the cap face sits about 1/8th of an inch above the mounting rings surface. the gas leaks thru the vent hole and thru the keyhole/keyhole cover area. Im debating on plugging the keyhole cover area with some sealant and seeing if that helps. I also heard using RTV arouind the ring will keep the gas inside the ring.
