Myth Busters zx6 06 Tokico Calipers VS 07 Nissin Calipers

i picked up a set of the 2008 and newer zx10 calipers and master for a deal, havent got a chance to try them out yet but would think they would be an upgrade from the 03-06 calipers and master i currently run... but i do see they are tokico, so why did they go back away from the nissins?

So although they share the same mounting points and the pads do fit...They are different calipers and pads, made by 2 different companies...And all the parts numbers are different...07+ pads also have steel plates on the back of the pads that the 03-06 do not come with. Everything you just posted can be found in my original post, obviously they are made by different manufacturers. They are built to Kawasaki spec and you can rebuild each with the others parts. Also the part #s are the same see the factory diagram I posted, the model year is what differentiates what pad you receive. The insulators and and plates we added for the fade issue, you could put the nissin pads in the tokico calipers and get the same result. The feel everyone is experienceing is the pads not cooking like the 06s was known for. Also we have done 2 sets of the 07+ and never had any aluminum pistons

The main purpose was all this BS, they are mono bloc, they have bigger pistons, I rolled another 102ft with these calipers

Look close at the diagram. Theres a little circle thingy 43049A and the other calliper has 43049B. Do those thingies make a difference? Mystery solved!

They are still different lol no matter how much you think they are the same....

A Ford f150 isn't the same as a Chevy silverado just cause I can use the same tires and gas lol
