What you are looking at is a purge system designed to catch any unburned fuel vapors before they are released into the air. Long story short, the whole thing can be removed and just follow the regular instructions for the clean air modification. Simply remove the pair valveq and replace with a "T" and run that line to the crankcase breather on top of the rear case.

Hope that helps some.

You don't need that shit man. I took mine off. That's the charcoal canister for Cali emissions. Like stated above it collects un burnt fuel vapors.

this is the shit that i took off and the pic of the hose with the screw in it, i think it might be right but not sure. I kept seein people sayin to make sure you block the extra hole on the tank...i know about blockin the airbox holes. well since i had to take that charcoal box off, one of the hoses ran to a filter of some sort just in front of the battery tray then ran up to the gas tank...I left the filter there and everything the way it was and just put a screw in the hose where i disconnected it from the box...anyone know if i did it correct? i ran it til it warmed up and it never threw a code or anything. Also, i'm not familiar with the vaccum line from the throttle bodies that i keep hearin about as well, i never pluged that....PIC please?

if you take it off on the ca model after 500 miles your engine will blow. It is how the government made kawasaki rig them so people wouldnt take them off.

oh yea, trash day hasn't come yet so i dig it all back out again....funny you say that, cuz when i took it out for a ride around the block, the idle was jumpin around in a lil, nothin crazy, and then when i got on in it in 3rd or maybe 4th, not sure, i made a wierd grinding noise and the rps went up like it should, but the bike didn't move....but it was fine after that...haven't ridden it since cuz the front end is off....does this CA bullshit that i took off have anything to do with this?
