Yes. Mine went for $200.00. It's the HD 1080p one.... NOT the HD 960p(which is slightly cheaper than the 1080p. Someone bought it off my ebay account.

I know the difference between the two, and yes the 1080p ones are on sale for 170 since the release of the new ones.

well shoot...If you can pick them up for $170.00(new) then I would buy a bunch and sell them on ebay then . They retail for $240.00 on GoPro's website and in retail stores like best buy and whatnot.

BTW - Does your local shop sell the Hero 2? I might be interested in buying if they have a website. Otherwise I was planning on buying the new Hero 2 from GoPro's website. $300 is not a bad deal for a super nice camera but I'd be curious if there is anyone else selling them cheaper.
