Colder Airbox Mod

so the gold is basically a little over 30 bucks an air box and the silver is just under 20 bucks an airbox...assuming that a 15ft roll will do the trick. plus your time of course.

with the DEI stuff, i'm not sure how much tape you'll need.
but i'd say not to over lap too much and just use one layer.
the idea is to deflect, if you overlap and use too much it will start to hold in the heat once it's heat soaked.

right...rough math: airbox bout a foot by a foot so call it 5-7 pieces for top and bottom, plus sides, front and back...bout 15 linear feet.

stuff looks stiff so i'd imagine it'd be pretty easy to put it next to itself withgout overlapping.

i, too, will be doing the gold bond method of keeping sweat out of my airbox over the winter

Just got done doing my airbox. Used a better form of heat reflective tape that has a thin layer of fiberglass cloth under the heat foil. Reflects 80% heat supposedly which is awesome! Got it at www.JEGS.com

This stuff isn't the easiest to work with because of the fiber glass. And while using a 20 ft roll, I only was able to complete the bottom (more important part) and like 3/4 of the top.
