chevy 5.3 l engine help needed
#1
OK so the other day I lost all oil pressure in my motor and the valves started ticking. I replaced the oil pump and o ring and ran 1qt marvel mystery oil in it. The ticking has now subsided but the low oil pressure light is still on. Any ideas. I'm not sure if its just the sensor since that activates the light and may be bad or if I spun can bearing or clogged oil galley.

Any thoughts would be great. Thanks guys

I have 60 psi at the filter bit can't get a tester on at the sending unit due to the location being back against the firewall.

Change the sending unit, see if that fixes it. I dont understand why if it was just the sender..... Why would the lifters get noisy?? 60 psi is more than enouph

Well I think the pump went bad. It had Its of play. I now have a new pump so hence the Psi but I'm thinking that I may have loosened some shit in the motor or something
Because this all started the day after I ran some Lucas oil in my motor. Which may have loosened some sludge or something.

Lucas oil makes your oil thicker I'm pretty sure.
