kno there is alot of tech guys on here so i figured i'd ask the question. lookin to possibly get a tablet for keeping up with my school stuff etc. which one is best in your opinion and why?
also if its any help i dont have any other smart phone or anything else lol a desktop at the house and thats it so syncing with other gadgets would be a moot point thanks!

iPad is sweet, but it's still an Apple product so you'll be tethered to iTunes for forever.
Android tablets are sick, but I don't think it's a good time to buy one.

that looks cool but i dont want to be tied to a service provider.. i like how its 4g capable though. if i did get locked in on another bill 4g is way to go

i looked into every carrier when it came time to get my first BB and tmobile had the bestplan $35 a month for unlimited data which i use to tether my laptop and ipad to while im at home where i get 4g coverage. i torrented a movie last night and dl'ed 1gig in abot 35-40 mins. i want the gslate cuz that bitch records in 3D and it has andriod 3.0

hmmm thanks for the heads up now how about the ease of using ipad with windows products like one of the main uses i would have is writing papers and doin spreadsheets. rthey have to be able to go seamlessly between machines..

I think they make an app for the iPad where you can use Microsoft word documents on it, like edit and open them. You probably have to pay for it though.
Also remember that you can always jailbreak the iPad-A lot of paid for apps become free, and a bunch of stuff gets unlocked for the user to mess with.
I've only used an iPad but can say, that its really smooth. and I liked using it. Hardly any crashes or anything. One problem is no Flash, but it was once in a while I encountered a website that needed Flash.
