the only thing that sucks about this and im not sure you could change it but it will hold almost no fuel even mine on my 09 holds squat for fuel dented so if i did do an 09 tank like this it would have to have more capacity up by the mounts/cap other than that it looks pretty nasty

anytime your cap sits lower than the front of the tank that never gets filled up anyways which isnt any different than any other tank really, those 09 tanks just arent as deep and they spread out real wide, key would be not lowering your cap much but any custom tank would beat a normal in capacity cuz the filler spout can be put all the way to the front so your actually filling the entire tank to get there cuz thats usually the highest spot. he could even raise the cap ut in front a littler bit so youd know for sure you were fillin the entire tank. you have literally no chance of that with a normal tank dented cuz its back so far.

I still have the top of this 2011 tank in the pic, just out of curiosity I decided to see what it would hold. Only got 12 cups in it so 4 cups shy of a gallon. So based on the stock cap location and its depth you loose just shy of a gallon give it take.

Stock dented tank 1 inch lip..., no need for all these crazy tanks imo...

But they're sooo purdy!

My flat top 06 holds just over 2.5 gallons after the fuel light comes on. Lasts about 1.5-2 hours practicing.

i agree with ryan unless its an 09 kawi, 762 your tanks pretty tall tho so might be some extra room in there lol.

yeah i didnt think of cap location thats a good point, if the tank came out more flat up top where the cap is relocated then dip in the back would help also

yeah thats exactly what i was thinkin, youd get way more room to fill it completely

I turn it upside down and put some gas in to fill the lip, then flip it and fill the rest. Gets me an extra about .25 gallon

You're right though. When I do the new one I want to see if I can make it a full tank for a little more capacity and so I can put the cap up farther like you guys are talking about. There's only a tiny bit of space with the airbox though...

yeah airbox tightness makes a lot of bikes only be able to go so far to dent but thats usuallt to far anyways
