I've got a 13mm Magura coming in the mail.

I hear good and bad things about the Magura, but mostly good so I'm hoping for the best.

You will be happy with either the magura or brembo. There is no "better or best" it's all about preference. IMO the 13mm is perfect for learning HB cause it has more "squish" but still bites hard, allowing u to somewhat drag the brake (which is a bad habbit) but also comforting while learning. And if you want need a harde lever feel then switch to a 16x18

Yes I'm the squid. I read multiple posts. Just curious, on an 06 636 just ordered the honey dual quad big rotor upgrade and all the parts and an 80" hel line, so everything but the master... Ive read get a 13 get a 16 get a 18 or 19 all sorts of stuff. Being a beginner what's yalls recommendation.

Nothing wrong being a squid, and props for doing some research!!

Most of the masters will work fine to learn with, it's more a preference thingy if you want the lever to be hard or soft.. Bigger piston in the master gives a harder lever
