\r\n \r\n Well let me ask you this? What do you want to get out of your service? Do you want to see the world? To you want to be in Combat? Personally working with the army I would probably never join because from what I seen they treat their people like shit and since we have this war going on you can pretty much assume to spend every other year in a combat zone. I was in the navy 8 yrs and to this day I still regret getting out. I didn\'t realize how good I had it till I was out. Now they don\'t allow any prior service back in.\r\n

\r\n \r\n Hey buddy, nothing against the military, I tried to join. Felonies wouldn\'t let me. My dad was a u.s. army ranger. I wanted to do the same. It\'s right for some folks, others not. If ur 24, and feel like ur going nowhere, go to www.fafsa.com. fill out for fin aid n go to school. I\'m only in community college here for hvac. Taking academic classes w it, and will grad w a associates degree in occupational education. Nothing glamorous,but coulda went for teaching or nursing or anything, but criminal background kinda narrowed my choices. Just saying man, the military is really cool, utmost support for those serving, just make sure its for you.\r\n

My dad said the same thing and it has proven to be an excellent choice. I wanted to be in the marines but i am glad my dad said no. The only deployments we go on is typically voluntary in the medical career field. I only deployed once... to belize! It was awesome!
