Good stuff guys. Also check this out, vs 10-15 says that the foundation is already laid (which is Christ) but that each of us should be careful how he builds (speaking of the way you contribute to the kingdom of God such as evangelism, helping the needy, witnessing, serving others). Because on the "Day" (which is the judgement day) the things we did in this life will be revealed for what they truly are. Are the things I'm doing in ministry rooted in love for God or the greed of money. Have I taken care of my wife with a servant heart out of my obedience and love for the Lord or was it to get recognition from men.
"his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he has built survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames" 1 Cor. 3:13-15. It says he will still be saved but I don't think this is always the case, because in Matt 7:21-23 Jesus said that on that day many will profess Lord, Lord did we not do these mighty works in your name? and Jesus who is seated on his judgement seat will say "depart from me for I never knew you!".
This spoke to me personally this week, because I've really struggled with how much to charge for out of town stunt shows.
