Yeah I think I'm Gona try new pads and find a used rotor in good shape or might buy a cheap wave rotor off eBay it will be flat and with new fresh pads should bite. I did go out today and try it out and I can lock up the wheel and the lever is not as hard as it running it on a single with adaptor little more softer but deff bites better just people talk about being able to stall the motor and what not and with my idle at 1800 roughly I can bog the motor down but it won't just lock up the motor no problem. With clutch in locks up pretty good. Wish I knew people with a similar setup to see what it's suppose to be like.

you could try putting the adapter back on and link the two if all that doesn't work.
