I was wondering the same thing yesterday. I bought some 08 zx6r forks over the winter from a dealer who claimed to have just changed out oil/seals, but they were bottoming out super easy on my first time out yesterday.
I tightened that nut on the top of the fork tubes all the way down and then backed it out one turn, I also did the same with the smaller nipple inside that nut that you tighten with a flat head screw driver.
I did the same for the bottom of the fork tubes too and they still bottom out super easy, just braking hard not even getting the back wheel off the ground.
A friend was telling me I need thicker oil?
