Best wheelie approach

what i do mainly is pop it into second stand on the back pegs and a combo of abs and gas get the front end up, i've spent hours riding around in a parking lot doing this and i'm just barely getting the point where i've rolled a couple of of ok wheelies for a short distance. i need to have someone film with with my camcorder. question to the 50 killers on here, is it easier to wheelie on super moto tires rather than dirt tires?
