as someone is in the army, but stationed on a AF base and is surrounded by AF personnel, i can say its the better of the branches to be in from an atmosphere perspective. one key thing ive noticed is that the dynamics between sergeant and private (or airmen for the AF) is less like the babysitting you have in other branches and more like a civilian job in the sense that youre not treated under the assumption that the less rank you have the dumber you are. unless you choose a devoted branch in the AF (security force, or combat arms stuff) it really is like a normal job. ive noticed AF chicks are def. hotter and more plentiful than the army.

the one thing he doesn't like is the lax in ranks. he thinks it should be more disciplined and gets pissed when some of the new recruits question his orders.
