I didn't read the thread on the other site, but I have put remote start on my gsxr's inthe past and there is a (i think orange) wire that runs through a resistor in the ignition to prevent simple hot wiring. If you unplug the ignition and use a multimeter to test impedance between a large gage main power wire and a small gage resistor input to the ecu, you can read the resistor value. Then buy resistors (avail at any radio shack) of the value that was read to wire inline on this ecu wire.
