dumping exhaust after the muffler

Mine wasnt technically cut, I just never put the rest of the exhaust on after i replaced the muffler. I mad an exhaust hanger that clamped onto the outlet of the muffler, and that was it. Inside the truck it was louder for sure. Outside, it sounded lower pitch, but not louder.
