lol yep dirtbike wheelies are piss compared to streetbike IMO.
That's what i was doing the weekend after that vid, rolling 1-1.5 parking widths like 15cm off the ground. Just gotta stab it harder at 1st, and gradually start coming in even faster.
The fork protectors were already on there from the previous owner, just left them on. I live on the coast and rust owns soooo many forks around here. They could be leaking, i have no clue. Those protectors arent moist or anything though
I actually have some sweet gopro footage from a few weeks back haha! Just with RC car and my mates pitbike on some field, gunning for these school kids was so epic!
The pic - car hit a concrete slab thing and launched into the air at them hahaha! Was one of the funniest things i've ever seen
2nd stunt session, from a few weeks back, skipped the following weekend due to exams, will post up last weekends ride soon.
This weekend i'm gonna be all alone at the lot since the other 2 are going to top gear festival >.<
Dude, looks like you guys are having a blast there! Good way to start and just get used to riding the lot and bike. Gotta get you away from those pop a stoppies though, those things will hurt ya and super easy to flip. You need to roll em faster and roll em out. Start out by just getting the rear off the ground inches at a time, working your way higher and higher, and always look up and out, not down at the ground. Christs look good. Hahaha over the bars pole hit and switchback shoe fling! Work on staggered, sit downs are harder. Learn to just ride out the staggereds at first and try to get used to using the fb to bring it down so u can train ur brain for fb. FIS is easier than staggered but until you get used to bringing it right up to bp they are wobbley. All in all your look super and are gonna get this in no time buddy!
DO WORK son!!!! Love the vid!

This. I was out at the lot yesterday for the first time. Started out with sitdowns, that went ok. Later I was told to try staggered. The first couple tens of clutch ups were so sketchy, but then it just felt natural and was so much easier to use the foot brake. At the end of the day I could ride them out at a decent height, even hit bp a couple times, but just ended up jamming the brake, and almost mousetrapping a couple times .

I remember that mousetrap feeling well! Cover the clutch and when your mousetrapping pull it in so it rolls instead of tossing you over the bars. Awesome your bringing yourself down with the fb though! Getting fb is the first big hurdle to good things! You guys will see that the closer you get to bp the less sketchy it all feels. If your only part way up your chasing it and wobbly.
Sounds like your getting it man!

Thanx Dabba. There are a few stoppies in there that i roll for like 2 metres super low, thats what i was doing at the end of the day, i just mixed the footage up a bit so it wasn't too repetitive on 1 angle and stuff. Last weekend i was trying them out looking up straight ahead after reading some1 saying u should do that, not entirely sure if it helped me or not, will see this weekend.
The pole wreck was not great haha, cut on my shin and broke my elbow guard, glad i had those on! I have shin/knee guards now too.
Yeah i definitely agree, tried staggered a bit more last session and it seemed waay easier. I dont have a footbrake right now which is really hindering my progress with regards to wheelies, since i have the 'save yourself' muscle memory down for footbrake from my dirtbike. Handbrake is haaard! Plus it needs to be bled :/ I dont have any back seat right now, so staggered is all i'll be doing for a while, need to put my head down and put in more work with the wheelies at the lot, i tend to get sidetracked alot and start fucking around Good fun, but i want to wheelie NOW! Next sesh there shall be some real progress! 12bar, here i come!
I did notice later in the vid u rolling some low ones and meant to come back and post that up. That's how u want to start and good job with that. I had fb on a quad but got on the f4i and its like I couldn't remember how to use it. Still took me a while to find fb. Hb I got in one session and ss next session. Practice hb staggered too just to get used to it but for me I did both feet on rear pegs and got hb almost instantly. Rear peg wheelies are the easiest and most stable of em all. U still need to get staggered and fb first but if u have no fb try rear peg, super easy. Keep up the good work man..................and stay focused Mr. 420!!!! Hahaha.
