hand brake help

okay did this today somehow lol. anybody got quick fix idea? this might be why its so shitty haha. how to i embed pics?

I made a super long brake arm and in terms of strength/ease, id put it up against anything you can buy, short of a disc setup. Notice there are no lock nuts on the front of the arm. This lets the hand and foot brakes work more independently of each other, which helps a ton. A drop of blue loctite keeps the adjustment nuts from falling off.



This was originally a prototype, but I cant find anything I want to change.

, brakes work better but hand brake will stick and cant figure it out. i loosen the cable pull the hb and it works but just sticks.... brakes dont want to release..

honestly i dont see why there is a need for a super good hb for a 50 as long as it works ur good....the brakes are pretty crappy anyways and 99.9 percent of the time when i ride my 50 its just throttle control and i dont really touch the rear brake except when i really mess up but at that point i already crashed sit the brake doesnt have the power to pull me back down from bp haha

try to spray up the cable wit wd40 or sum lub. and try to move it around mine used to do that but i dont run a footbrake on mine.

i can lock my 50's rear wheel with one finger in 3rd gear WOT sand your drum and pads, grease the pivot points in side the drum, and route your cable so it doesnt take ANY unessary turns the strighter the better

i use this stuff ui think its called cable life it came with a cable lubing tool i can post pics if ya want worked great for me i use it on all my bike i own and it makes the pull easier on pretty much everything when i get a new cable i put some in untill it comes out the other end and its butter

Use Cable lubing tool, spray some carb cleaner in there and move cable up and down and repeat till all the dirt is outta the cable. Let it dry a bit, then lube with same method till u see the lube coming out the other end. I use castrol DWF, displaces water and lubricates. Thats what the yamaha dealership near me uses
