Sitdown 1 handers? - 762SPR - 07-20-2012
I decided to take the dirtbike for a spin today, and I was doing pretty decent sitdowns so I decided to give one handers a try. I think I did a few ok ones, but my problem is I'm chasing them out because I'm below BP... And I'm below BP because if I'm not hanging on the bars, I start slipping off the seat!
What's the secret?

Try to squese the tank with your knees, if thats not enough then place your left foot under the peg so you hold on to the bike with the right hand and left foot.

On my wr250x the bike just makes me slide back down the seat to where it's comfortable and holds me there. It feels like I'm in the same posistion as if I was sitting on the vertical part of the rear seat of a sport bike.
As far as something you can do, just sqeeze the tank with your legs. I haven't tried putting a foot under the peg. Might be kind of awkward if you have stock dirt pegs.

Thanks. I didn't think to put my foot under the peg. I have regular MX pegs on it (stock) so they might fold up, but maybe I can put my foot in front of it...
I've seen guys go full lock, but I'm hesitant to do that because I'm still not good enough to where I don't need to set the front down some times and that would be a mess on full lock!

Just put your foot close to the peg bracket/frame (so a part of the foot is under the peg bolt), that way the peg don't fold and you still got somewhere to lock your foot
