Bought a second hand scotts a few months ago and sunday while ridding its stopped working theres no resitance on any setting anyone ever stripped one or had any issues ? theres a good bit of info on scotts site but just wanted to check is this a common issue for them ????

No......but the dowel pin is 4.5mm, which can be hard to find. I bought a 4.5mm drill bit online, and cut the solid shaft to length. Bit was $0.89, plus shipping.

Nice quick fix was thinking to get someone to turn one on a lathe but a 4.5 drill bit shouldnt be to hard to find Thanks
