\nare you sure you dont have air in the sytem? I know a bunch of people who rocked the stocker f4i till they had money for a good one but they could stoppie no problem on them.\r\n

\r\n \r\n brake fluid on the pads ? are the pads from the f4i front end ? if so you may just need to let them seat to the new rotors ..\r\n

\nand are you talking about the pads that you clean dishes with its green kinda looks like scuff pads?! lol i didnt clean the rotors only the pads

\nthe pads are the ones i got with the front end im guessing they are for the 600rr.. can you use f4i pads on a 600rr front end??

\r\n \r\n same pads and if you did get brake fluid on them and washed it off before you used the pads thats all good but if you get them hot with brake fluid on them then it\'s gonna be a while before they ever work good if at all\r\n

\r\n \r\n on the cleaning part: how long were the pads "dirty" and how did you "clean" them??? did you clean the rotors too?? with brakecleaner!! you can sand the pads evenly, clean them out with some bakecleaner, clean the rotors and then ride and let the pads set..\r\n

the pads are only the same if you have the 03-04 600rr calipers, if your got the 05-06 inverted frontend they will not work.\r\n

\r\n \r\n All that stuff was off my 05/600rr and I had no problem rolling 400\' off a 200\' approach. It\'s air, your lines, the master, or the nut on the seat. Pads we\'re not even broken in yet\r\n

\r\n \r\n brake fluid will ruin the pads,as will fork fluid..if either have came in contact it will make them not as effective..swap the pads and brake fluid...a brake overhaul is never a bad idear.\r\n

took all the pads out and washed them in water with some purple power or whatever with a wirebrush no i didnt clean the rotors ... what grit sand paper do you suggest using?? Quote:

\ni dont understand why it would be air, or my lines, or my master when they all worked mint before i put this front end on.. the lever is stiff feels exactly how i had it before.. it probably is brake fluid that got on it im just wondering how i can clean them up so i wont have to worry bout buyin some new ones till next season..

yea the calipers seemed pretty grimey im probably gonna rip em apart when i get a chance..\r\n
