switched over to some new alpinstar knee pads the other day. the movement is awesome cause the knee itself move. it has two seperate sections that over lap. only problem is they will eventually start sliding down. any ideas.

my fox's did that, cause the velcro straps where too long to get them really tight,so I shortened them and resowed the velcro on.

I really like mine. And I didn't think about TLD at all as a place to look when I started shopin around, but whatdya know.
I don't want to sound like a commercial now or something, OR keep going on and on because I'm not sponsored for jack shit.!! And I'm just a regular guy that pays for his own shit and doesn't like to skimp out when it comes to much of anything when I can help it. Especially gear.
If I find something that is good quality and I pass on the information to others, then I'm always game to help out.

OMG they went up in price since last spring! but, to me, they looked like the most protection Iv'e seen so far.
but if you wear a pair of high MX style socks if you want...or not... and these things. Shit, then you can just ride in the shorts you showed up in ya know... that's mainly why I wanted them to begin with, but now I feel funny if I don't wear them under my jeans and everything! haha

I have skinny chicken legs and I was worried about them moving around and sliding on me, and these do not. With two straps goin against eachother in opposite directions across the back in 3 places, that's really solid and they're not moving at all guaranteed!

I'm 6'tall too and they go down to the top of my new shift shoes. I know that they make a bigger size for taller guys too so that they aren't jipped out of getting the same shin coverage. There is good padding under and around the sides of the plastic armor. And I can't feel (on concrete) just dropping down real quick from standing to directly onto my knees in a kneeling positon at all.
And I got an email from a one kid on stuntlife asking me about them that had an injured knee. He actually ended up gettin them, and he really liked his also.
Dirtytoes where you at?
They kinda got expensive though I just found out in searching for the link, but anyhow
Here they are>>

This marathon post was brought to you by utter and complete boredom! pay it forward...lol

They can't smell as bad as Borne's helmet. I put it on once not knowing, and the stench staying in my hair... it was gross I had to ride home with my head out the window so it wouldn't linger in my hair
