best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - Raider - 11-08-2011 You rebuilt the brembo? Where did you get the seals? Are you sure you didn't end up with one of those frembo rebuild kits? best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - mattducati08 - 11-09-2011 the rebuild kit i got was the snap ring dust seal and ajuster ball joint ...when i took my master apart i saw a slight tear on the return seal and my dad found an identical seal in a pile of parts he had..slapped it back together and lubed the shit outta everything and it seems fine..i havent had the chance to really have a good sesh on it best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - Raider - 11-09-2011 Yea if that seal is even a slight bit different that master is gonna blow. Do yourself a favor and send it to yoyodyne and have then rebuild it. Its cheap enough. best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - mattducati08 - 11-11-2011 shit son lol i'll look into that :
best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - Hooligan23 - 11-11-2011 Isn't the galfer master better for one caliper? best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - ADBZ Matt - 11-11-2011 I used to use the magura for my front, and switched to the brembo... I like the consistant feel of the brembo over the magura... They are both great masters like was stated above, and I am no endo killer, but prefer the brembo! This is what I didnt like about the magura: When doing burnouts/endos or anything that would make the brake fluid get hot, I would get push back from the magura lever that I could actually feel mid trick... And it would get harder mid trick... The brembo doesnt have the same squish feeling, but it also doesn change the feel as the brake fluid heats up... it always feels the same. A lever shouldnt start to push on your hand, or require you to pull harder to keep the same tension on the brakes... Maybe someone else can describe this better, but I switched and am very happy with my choice. As far as the Handbrake goes I love the magura and actually like the feedback I get when it heats up but it is a smaller bore master, and the squish is spot on, and arm pump is a thing of the past! best front brake? brembo 19x20? 16x18? - JohnnyP - 11-11-2011 Im a 19x20 fan for life, got one on all 3 of my bikes, and have had one on all my bikes since 2001...I run a Magura billet 20mm on my 03/04 636 here, a Brembo forged 19x20 on my other 03/04 636...And a Brembo billet 19x20 on my 09 ZX6R..... Its totally a preference thing, the bigger size give you more braking with less travel and more solid feel at the lever...The smaller size will give you more travel and have a softer feel....I like the rock hardness of 20mm masters for front brakes... ![]() There is also now the Brembo RCS 19 available which give you the ability to change the piviot distance...This allows you to change between the 2 differet feels of a 19x18 and 19x20....At the turn of a screw You can read up on it here http://www.yoyodyneti.com/ProductInf...id=110.A263.10 |
