What's up guys!
My name is Ben, and I'm from Wisconsin. Stumbled upon this forum and thought I'd join. I currently don't have a bike, but planning on getting a 636 this spring/summer. Don't plan on stunting right away since I'm still fairly new to riding, but hopefully when I get comfortable, and have enough money for a second bike, I will get into it! Plan on just lurking for now and hopefully learn some things.

First question would be, how much do 636s generally go for? I'm looking at one that's around $5k with about 15k on it with an integrated tail and jardine exhaust.

Ok so to start off ill explain what happened.
Me and my friend were riding back from a car meet, when a jeep cut me off hard with no signal. I braked rather hard and came about 6 inches from their bumper. Him on the other hand, he (I assume given hes only rode for a month now) grabbed a handfull of front brake. When he did i watched him in my mirror, his ass end came up off the ground and it looked as if he panicked and let go of the front brake. when the ass came down he went into a nasty tank slapper, hit a curb his bike rolled off the windscreen and landed on its side.
the bike had purely cosmetic damage besides the right (throttle side) clipon broke off.
the extent of the damage was a small (half of my fist) size dent in the tank, all plastics rashed/cracked, windscreen rashed, exhaust (stock) had minor scuffs, both mirrors broke off, front rim tacod, and a very very small scratch on the crank case, and passenger seat ripped..

To me it looked like i could probably replace everything with OEM for like 3grand but his insurance is totalling it out due to the labor cost killed it.

Now I was planning on buying a 2013-15 636 to fully stunt out but now that he wrecked i may potentially buy his off his insurance company if they allow him to buy it back. Since everything thats damaged, was everything I planned on replacing, it would save me alot of money, then when i get around to buying a steel frame with vin stamp i would have a clean title if im not mistaken.

Now my question is what would you guys think is a fair price to buy this off the insurance company?

Apparently, some tools decided that automobiles shouldn't be machines with operators; rather computers with passengers. I just finished watching a clip on abc news about braking systems that stop cars from crashing into each other, communicate (mph, distance, etc), and basically override manual controls with autopilot. I don't know about you, but I don't trust it. I couldn't imagine not having control of how hard a car brakes while it's raining, snowing, or has ice on the ground. Not only that, if somebody's in pursuit of your life and your car stops rather than letting you ram their car, your dead. I entitled it "Advanced Vehicle Technology Act of 2013" because, the legislation is the funding for such technologies, which perpetuates the possibility of their being factory requirements mandated by law in future legislation.

On the bright side, Highways and interstates shut down by bikers will be without incident� no pile ups or fender benders.

found this on drudge thought it was interesting that we have more people taking from the govt. than full time workers, it should be interesting to see what happens cause you can't take more than you give kinda simple logic. i guess this one of the reasons democrats want to raise taxes on people.

Shit is crazy. Along with over 2 billions of bullets purchase last year. And another 5 schedule for this year. All for "target practice" and "buying them in bulk to save money". All bullets being purchased are hallow points by the way. And are the most expensive. 2 million dollars of targets were also purchased by the DHS Of civilians holding a gun. I might add that the civilian targets were of pregnant women, 7yr olds and grannies in front of their homes. Seems like DHS is preparing themselves for civil unrest and to wage war against U.S citizens.
