I have been stunting a crf50 for a couple years and just picked up a wr250x today. Went to my lot and tried to do some slow sit down circles and I could hardly keep up the front wheel. The bike is all stock except a fmf power core 4. It also came with the stock exhaust. And 1 down on front sprocket. Looking for a dual caliper handbrake setup and foot hoop. If anyone is selling these parts let me know. Any suggestions to get used to the bigger bike? What should the rear tire pressure be at? I weigh 160lbs.

Cool thanks, I pm Stubbz waiting to hear back from him. So you think I should go -1 +8? And what should my rear tire pressure be at?

I set my tire pressure by feel unless I run the same tire consistently somewhere inbetween 30-40 psi.

I only run about 25-28psi in my tire and works great for everything. I ran like 40 with my first wr but with this brand new stock tire i feel fine for everything at 25, drifting is only thing youd need more for really but i dont bother with that anymore. My 250X is also only +6 on rear and stock front, never touch the clutch in circles unless im stallin. You can circle these bikes with stock gearing without clutch in my opinion but ive never really ran one stock so havent tried. -1+8 will feel like more power but gears will be extremely short and you wont be much for cruising streets above 40mph. I ride to work everyday almost and half is over 55mph i ran +7 and +8 on my first WR but this one went down to +6 so i can cruise at 65mph all day without getting into that screaming mode. No matter what gearing you use these bikes are bulletproof so you dont really have to worry about the engine its just more of an annoyance.
if your only lot riding then i would deff go with more gearing, id probly run stock front and 54 rear if i didnt street mine. If your good on a 50 youll learn fast on these and progress quickly there super easy to stunt and learn on.

I could only get 82/83 with +7 hittin rev limit but my speedo healer wasnt set perfect. my new one is set perfect to my GPS and i can run 82/83 still with +6 or 48 tooth but i havent ran it to hit limiter so your probly pretty close anyhow. Just gets annoying as shit if you travel far and those cranking rpm's
