r6 engine

I need to replace the engine in the 05 R6, if I want to buy the same bare engine 03-04 without injections etc will all fit if interspersed with other parts of the engine 05? Do I have to buy the whole engine 03 - 04, along with all the accessories?

Im currently repalcing mine with one from an 03 and i just switched over everything over from the 05 (throttle bodies, etc)...from what ive been told and read the bare motors will fit in any year r6

Either like Swampy said swap over the TBs and fuel rail from the '05 to the 03-04 motor. Otherwise you will need the other ECU. '05 is the only year with that fuel tune and the 2mm oversized TBs. 03-04, 06-09 R6s motors run shitty on an '05 ECU. But if you just throw a whole motor in no swapping things around got to have the other ECU. Everything else is the same.
