street riding

did anyone learn wheelies/spreaders/high chairs on the street? or is it a lot thing that you carry over onto the street. been thinking about how crazy it must be to try your first spreader at 50 mph

Its better/easier imo to learn in the lot and then take it to the street. I learned more tricks in a year of lot riding then I did 3 years prior doing wheelies on the street.

I'm not against learning on the streets, but going to a huge street ride and trying something you've never done before in the middle of everyone probably isn't a good idea.
FWIW I'm a squid but all streets (no lots here), but my homie is a killer and he learned it all on the streets too.

I learned bp on streets because I was on a long straight road with little traffic, but im spending most of my time in lots now trying to pick up idle. Its definitely slower and safer in a lot and if you get too far out of comfort zone or feelit about to go somewhere you cant stop it from going, just bail. Alot of this stuff is learning how to crash/ bail to minimize injury. Its gonna happen. Your gonna drop your bike, your gonna break stuff. Its just more controlled in a lot versus 50 mph.

didnt intend on learning there, just referencing the style of riding.

im kind of surprised at how many people learned stunting on the street actually

now when you say streets do you mean side streets at 30-40 mph or do you mean highway speeds 55-70mph? that has got to be insane!

hand out to you for that
