LAKELAND, FL, DECEMBER 14, 2012: Stunt Wars, the largest and longest running freestyle stunt riding competition announces big plans for 2013 and beyond.
“We are extremely excited about our current sponsorship negotiations,” said Stunt Wars’ President, Chris Nichols. “In the midst of a very slow motorcycle industry recovery, Stunt Wars has been quietly continuing to run profitable events.
”After several of their national and international sponsors filed bankruptcy, Stunt Wars was forced to adapt the event’s format and business model in order to continue producing exciting events for stunt fans and enthusiasts. “It has certainly been a challenge adapting to lower budgets and less sponsorship opportunities, but we have continued to plug on and we finally see the light at the end of the tunnel,” said Vice President Adam Chumita. “We are negotiating several high profile sponsorship deals that will help us transform Stunt Wars into an even more stimulating experience that will surely make our sport more relevant than ever.
”In light of the ongoing negotiations, Stunt Wars announced that they will not hold the Stunt Wars US Open in 2013. “We have made a difficult but necessary decision to focus our full efforts on securing a long term partnership deal with several industry juggernauts so that we can make Stunt Wars a viable brand for many years to come,” noted President Chris Nichols. “While we have held the Stunt Wars US Open for 10 straight years, we are confident that focusing on 2014’s event is the right long term move for our sport and our company.”
