A Bike With No VIN(needs Advice)
#1
I came across this bike on CL that seems rather cheap but has a couple of loopholes in between. Can you guys that are familiar with the Title/Registration help me out? It seems too GOOD to be true and I`d rather know now, then drive out to Vegas for a HOT bike.

The guy says built it after a wreck with a new frame and offers a 2002 ZX6 registration. That was the 1st Red Flag for me. I have the money ready and I want a ZX6R/636 so I`m getting happy about it. Any input would be appreciated. Good or bad, I`d rather know. Thanks Stuntride homies!

Get numbers from engine. Then get a cop to run them for you to see if bike was stolen or not.

So lets say it`s not stolen, how would i go about getting a title? or should just cut the crap and be sure it will be a lot bike forever?

That registration means nothing to a smart cop. Its a thousand dollar bike, with a few hundred worth of stunt parts, so make an offer based on that. Also, because of that SR sticker, the owner is on here or one of his friends is.

its like a dealer frame ...
for example .. my boy bought a 600rr frame from the dealer and it came blank.

I had a blank frame gsxr and I took it to get inspected and they stamped a vin and gave me a title. Just make sure the motor is clean....

I wonder if AZ laws differ from Cali. I`ll try it out, worst outcome is a lot bike or picking up a 636 and transfering all the parts.

My friend once get a bike like you but I was not supporting him . I think while you are buying we should take it with the original Docs to be free of difficulties . If there any occurrence in which this bike is related then you will be in trouble . And please don't buy that one which have no VIN .
