So I've got one of those streetfighter headlights on my F4i and one of the two bulbs blew out.
I went to replace it and I noticed the ones in there (which sucked for night riding) were 20W.
SO i replaced both of them with 50W bulbs, one flood and one spotlight to see which one I like better.......
Seems brighter, my main concern is all the extra heat generated
by the higher wattage bulbs.
Anyone have experience with doing this??? I havn't had it on long enough to tell but I'm worried I might melt the headlight housing, fry some wires, or start a fire...

If the wires aren't a thick enough gauge, they could melt. I had this issue on my relay harness with my 55w HIDs. The wires were fine from power source to the fuse holder, but at that point they burned and melted, causing the fuse to melt thus rendering it useless, and leaving me stuck riding 30 minutes on the interstate at night with no headlights. I wouldn't have gone from 20 to 50, especially of its one of those Acerbis knockoffs. Keep an eye on it.

I put a 50w bulb in mine and the plastic housing started to melt. I smelled something and then saw a little bit of smoke in front of the light. No good lol. That happened right after i put the 50 in. Mine's a knock off i think, was supposed to be an acerbis when i bought it, oh well. Switched it back out to a 20, but like you said it's worthless during the nighttime.
