SM tire suggestions?

\r\n \r\n go with the pilot powers you\'ll be happy with them and they look the best on motards. they dont make the right size for a wr250x but for your rim a 160 or 150-60 should work good\r\n

\r\n \r\n I run a Pilot Power on the front, and one of the Continental SM rears, in the 160 size. I love the setup. I can grind pegs on the asphalt, and get decent grip on the dirt roads. I like the Continental rear over the Pilot Power because its a zero degree, and it doesn\'t need as much warm up time to get grippy. \r\n

your not runnin a 160 rear are ya, probly a 150/60 but just same tire\r\n

\r\n \r\n Fuck it the shop had Dunlop Supermoto specific tires in stock, lots of track guys said this is the best tire you can have for a 5" supermoto rim. Its a 170/55 rear but sits narrower then any 160 street tire...They are slicks but a buddy said they will do stoppies in the dirt, and are marked for grooves if I decide to groove them...

\r\n \r\n Hmmmmm.....those\'ll be bad-ass on the asphalt. Not so good on the dirt. They may stoppie on hard-pack dirt.....but how often are you on hard-pack? Probably rarely. And how is a normal guy suppose to groove them? Sounds like a tire meant for a very specific terrain.....\r\n

Its a tire designed specifically for Supermoto racing, and actually has "for Supermoto use only" molded into the side of the tire. As for grooving they sell the grooving tool at the shop, or will groove them for me if I want. However grooving is more for heat control rather then grip in dirt...They told me I will be surprised at how well they go in the dirt, but since I plan to ride mostly pavement it will be the best tire money can buy for real SM riding...I know this is stunt site and most of you have stunt SM\'s, but mine is more built for actual SM, with my main focus being on pavement riding...

\nHonestly dirt is not my interest, I built this mainly because I want back it in and out of corners on pavement and kill some streets...Some of the tracks here have dirt sections and some dont....If it was possible I would love to ride on tracks like this one in Bulgaria
