So I been thinking of this for awhile been doing research on cheap homemade crane jibs when use correctly and a little tought put into it it takes filming to a professional level and you can make them for under 100bucks!!
After doing some homework I've come to the conclusion that a 12 foot jib is the easiest smoothest shoot... Opinions????
As far as Dolly's go some as above applies
Best one I've seen so far is two rails on a 4inch piece of plywood
Camera mounts to another piece of plywood with notched out rollerblade wheels (skateboard looking if you will)
The notches ride the 2rails and you lift one side slowly to roll the camera down the plywood for like going around corners and what not...
