Tips to quiet down exhaust?

made a new undertail for my wr250x this year from a brand new scorpion pipe for an 03/04 600rr. i cut it about 4 inches short to make it fit tightly under my tail, didn't realize the thing was going to be rediculously loud. i gotta find someway to quiet it down some before i get a ton of tickets this year as it is my daily driver to and from work and its usually screamin the whole way cuz its geared. any ideas?

i was thinkin about taking a quiet core insert and somehow finding a way to mount it on the inside of my spout coming out of my pipe. i dont wanna restrict the shit out of it but its just wayyy to loud.

I put a 50 silencer into the end cap of my 450 center pipe, LOL. loud pipes just get me busted quick.

yeah man i hear ya i pass the cop shop everyday on way to work, my shit sounds like a full blown 450 easy its crazy. do you offer the silencers for the 50s if so ill order one, i need to get some of the short bolts from ya that hold the right side of the stunt peg on anyhow, since i have the undertail i got um mounted just like the left side and the bolts were way to long cuz i didnt need the spacers in there, i put some black allen type bolts in there but now the ends are all rusty n look like shit so id like to put some of those stainless ones in there but i cant find um local

The quiet core insert for my YZ's power core was just a piece of tube about 2" long, same diameter as the exhaust opening and it ran down the main exhaust tube. You could probably experiment with that pretty easily to see if it does anything.

yea 762 thats what im thinkin, just gotta come up with a quiet core insert and ill find a way to get it mounted inside my pipe. my pipe had that steel wool looking shit wrapped around the center piece i think its to protect the packing from burning out but not sure if thats what keepin the sound so tight and loud or what

I don't have the silencer, bikebandit probly does. it looked like ass, but helped alot with the noise. I have lots of bolts in stock. You should have had some when you got the pegs. I assemble the clamps fully, then add the spacers extra. so if you ran spacers, you took the extra bolts out. I can snail mail them to if you cant find them at a hardware store. Don't want mix match bolts on that sexy build!

hmm maybe i misplaced them after i had it mounted with the spacers for a while. ill take a second look around the garage n see what i can come up with. hopefully i can find a quiet core insert and somehow mount it on the inside so you dont even see it at all
