It all depends what you are looking to do in the service. You will be able to bring your bike with you but not when you go to basic. If you go AF and don't want to be stuck behind a desk there are other things you can do and you are treated good and better everything..lol (ie. Houses, barracks) what do you want to do?

I wanted a combat mos, but I'm a girl and so I cannot. Combat support is the next best thing i guess - which is why I wanted to go Army, however I'm not gunna lie, running is my weak point. I can run a few miles and not feel like I'm going to kill over, but I defiantly won't have a smile on my face! I can do push-ups, sit-ups, flutter kicks, side straddle hops, ect. all day! I do PT 2x a week with the Army.

So can I have my bike after bct, at ait?

Im in the army and have been for almost 11 years. there are ways around a combat MOS for females. First you can be an MP-Military Police, garrison could get pretty boring but when and if you get deployed MP's do a lot of jobs and actually go outside the wire. AirForce on the other hand has shorter deployments, if your looking to do something overseas and actually go outside the wire and go on convoys for a female you might look at being a photographer-Combat Camera. We had two AF females attached to our MP Platoon and went outside the wire almost every time we did for about 3 months. These are just some suggestions and might not even fit you as a person, and some of the jobs would be desk work. Believe it or not females even not allowed to be in a combat MOS are going outside the wire with their male counterparts. I am an E-6 and have been for 7 years and I have seen a lot of females doing combat roles in my two tours.

Talked to a USAF recruiter today, and I may have already blew it there. One of those "I should have just said no" situations. we'll see, idk

Well I don't mean to be rude, but are you a female or a guy bei.g funny be ause you're scared. Sorry but had to ask True, in th Army you may run a few miles time to time but support mostly runs two miles. You will be fine.. You can go MP or even transportation or medic. Transportation you will get out and see some things. It's one of the most dangerous jobs. Medic you can be at a CASH. If you are going to dothe MP thing go air force. Shorter deployments there and you can be a crew chief which is exciting too. You can have your bike in AIT but depending on what you decide for an MOS. YOU MAY NOT HAVE alot of time to ride it and you have to be close to home because they won't ship anything for you until you complete ait and get a duty station.
