06 07 gsxr half frame how to register?

Have a extra 07 gsxr frame sitting in my garage and thinking about making a half frame how would i go about getting a vin and registering it?

Depeneds on your state, i'd check your local DMV to figure it out! I want to build a full steel frame sometime when i have time.

Im in texas i called and they said i would have to get a packet for a custom built or somthing wasnt shure if that would be the same for just a half frame

As long as the numbers on the original frame are replaced you will have to have someone come check it out. Doesnt matter if its an 1/8 steel frame lol

What do you mean if the numbers are replaced and tx doesnt have the bullshit have the cops look at your shit if it safe just take it to a quick lube/inspection station and i got friend that ill pass that shit with out even looking at it

Probley not going. bike is tore apart right now for repaint but havent messed with it since i tore it apart
