Ok so we have options for judging: (Possibility of Guest judge on both options)
What would be the most likely to please everybody and be fair & fun for the croud & riders ?
Option 1
Judging will be a total score from 3 technical judges and a score from the croud measured by a mounted Decibel Meter. That way each judge will have 25% influence and the croud will too.
Option 2
3 judges deciding who wins out of each round.
One thing for sure is during the individual battle the riders and the croud will know who's winning and who is losing the whole time after each round.
I think it sux at past events i've been to that you don't know what's going on till it's all over.
Give me some opinons
if you want the event to do good let the crowd judge
tell the riders the crowd will be judging and tell them to talor there run to the crowd. if the crowd likes it they will be back next year. if everyone is doing slow tech shit the crowd with just be sitting there and probly wont come back next year. any riders that bitch tell them to go learn to do a stoppie and come back next year. lol
So both judging (croud and Judge panel) not cool?
the xsba judging works.. if people would use it correctly
i think it went something like this
1 point per trick of each type up to 5 points total for each type
wheelie
stoppie
burnout
acro
then i think there was a 0-5 point given buy the judges for style
so if you did 3 wheelie 1 acro 1 stoppie and 3 burnouts but they were all easy you would get a 8 because you wouldnt get any style points
if you did 2 wheelie 4 acros 3 stoppie and o burouts that were sick as hell you would get a 14
i think this scoring works if the judges use it right im sure thomas could fill in the details i might be missing
100 points total
20 Difficulty
20 Execution
40 overall (includes how well the run was put together, rider and bike appearance, crowd participation etc)
20 points for variation
5 maximum points for each discipline, wheelies, stoppies, burnouts, acros
the way the variation works is this.. you do 5 different wheelies you get 5 points, you do 10 different wheelies you get 5 wheelie points, you only do 3 different wheelies you only get 3 wheelie points
if you dont do any acrobatic tricks then you cost yourself 5 points, if you can only do short straight stoppies then you can only get 1 stoppie point
it makes the riders perform a fuller bag of freestyle tricks.. you can still win if you are slack on 1 of the 4 disciplines, but it would be hard
thats what had me pissed about stuntwars.. they used this judging, but instead of counting the tricks.. they gave the rider 5 points for 1 trick.. so if someone did 5 different acrobatic tricks, they got 5 points, but if someone just skitched they got the same 5 points... unfair
I like that! Sounds fair.
I just hope that the judges can keep up with all that on 2 riders at the same time in the battle.
We'll make it happen somehow and I will post up before the comp.
Oh yeah, I know this probably needs to be in the other thread but...
