What video converting program to use ?

I have built a computer amd now am making 1080p 60i clips and they wont load all the way on youtube amd vimeo , my question is what program should I use to downgrade the quality of these high definitions clips and how much do I need to downgrade for them to load to vimeo ? Thanks for the help in advance

i also want to know the trick for this. i made a 3 minute 1080p clip and couldnt upload to vimeo. and i downgraded the quality way too much there has to be an inbetween.

Will convert to pretty much whatever format you need.


I always convert h.264 footage to "apple prores 422(LT). This is the best conversion for maximizing workflow without taking anything away from the quality, in my experience.

vimeo and youtube should handle 1080p just fine, what format are you rendering them to, and how big is the final file size?

Uploading a 1080p video clip to youtube should give you 0 issues. . . As long as you dont have really crappy internet service.

For me, a 2 minute 1080p mp4 clip took less than a few minutes to upload

I will try the handbreak one, I think I heard of this before , I have dsl and it was taking forever to upload and then just stopped both on youtube and vimeo . Thanks for all the input everyone
