636 broken headlight tabs...repair idea

\r\n \r\n i cannot view the photo but i have been thinking of something like this as well... there has to be a way to reinforce these and make all of the crappy ones usable again...\r\n

\r\n \r\n Ya Sandbox\'s is like that with lil aluminum 90 brackets..I run a stealthstay and dont bolt my headlight to it...The headlight being mounted to the upper and the upper being tied into my stealthstay is SOLID...No offense but the johnnyp stays are totally inferior and the design makes 0 sense IMO.Only benifit is being aluminum instead of steel but still junk IMO.\r\n

\r\n \r\n i know man i hit up stuntfarm to grab a stealthstay instead and just sell the johnny p and the price was just alittle more than i expected,....as much as i wanted to say F it and just buy it, i still got a bunch of other parts i need to get this bike stunt worthy and im already running low on funds so thats why i figured ill try fixing the headlight first...i got the johnnyp for almost $150 less than what the stealthstay cost so thats why im rockin it.

\na stealthstay is DEFINITLY going to be one of those "later on down the road" mods though\r\n

\r\n \r\n and wiseguy the picture is just a pic of a regular 636 light without the metal added just to get an idea of what i was explaining...i havnt seen one with the metal mod done but i feel like it shouldnt be that hard to do and apparently im not the only one to think of it if sandbox is rockin it too\r\n

\r\n \r\n cool, i got rid of my johhny p and have the Steathstay on my 04 now and i blew a few tabs off my headlight when i got hit by a car at low speed on my stunter... i just beat it back straight with a rubber mallet, but havent tried to remount my headlight so not even sure i need this since loogie says his doesnt even mount to the stay... i will check it out this weekend and let you know, but yeah Steathstay for the win \r\n

You actually dont need those 2 tabs to mount my stay, there are 3 more mounts located in the front...That go right through the headlight housing itself...I did that for this exact reason, the stock mounts break off so easily...

\nPeople talk alot of shit about my stays these days because 5+ years after I designed it and started selling them, there are finally some other decent products on the market! Well thats great but where were this people in 04/05, when I was forced to make my own because everything else was garbage? It took 5 years for other people to make a comparable product and your going to knock my shit, and praise them? Not to mention it looks like most that have bad things to say about my stuff are either friends with another company, or sponsored by them.....I dont get my friends to come on here and big up my shit, or put other companies down...That shit is weak!

\nEveryone is entitled to their own opinion, but give me a fucking break...I made that shit years ago, have sold over 300 of them world wide...Majority of people are more then happy with them.....And when I designed them this was your only option on the market...905 Racing charged me $250 for this peice of scrap metal....So at that time it was ahead of the game period!

\nMaybe one day when I have time I\'ll redesign them and add some upgrades. For now people are still buying them and thats the only reason I make them..And also the only reason I ever started selling them\r\n

I didnt expect it to be the best or one of the best stays for as long as it did honestly...As I have not made one change to it since 04/05...

\nThis! And that is the only reason I made one, from the day I posted pictures of the 1st one I made for myself on SL, I was basically begged by the stunt community to start selling them...

\nIm glad that although I dont like steel parts personally, stealthstay product is a hell of a lot better then what was available back in those days... Stunt parts in general have come a long way...\r\n
