I\'ve never touched a mac, I dont know anything about macs, but I do know that - Mac + Final Cut = money I dont have. I\'m used to using pinnacle studio by Avid and Im going to switch to AVID studio because it looks like a more solid design than pinnacle. Plus it does everything I want. only $160.00 for the software\r\n

\nNVIDIA card (get a good one!)
\ndont skimp on HD\'s either... go for the high speed ones.

\nIf your gonna get serious about editing don\'t settle for pinnacle. If you are not torrent savy just hit up craigslist. Lots of adobe packages being sold on there.

\nAlso, don\'t toss the idea of going apple cause of the price tags. I see them all day long fully loaded with programs on CL for as much as it costs to build a tight PC i switched and am very satisfied. just sayin.

I have a lot into my editing machine. It\'s a poor example lol Im straight nerd status so id have a lot into my machine whether it was a PC or a Mac.

\nCraigslist is your friend! Whether you go mac or PC. Sometimes I even see half built machines on there for dirt cheap. Gaming towers and what not. Focus on the best hardware you can afford. I see macbook pro\'s go for under a grand with lots of software. And like I said before if you are not torrent savy, either learn, or find someone that can help you out.\r\n

I have a buddy that is extreme into torrenting but Im kinda afraid of the. . . you know. . . illegal thing, like "what if".. .\r\n

\nif you are worried about it just have you friend set up your system so it never updates the programs...\r\n
