F4i stock exhaust header sleeve thing????

shot in the dark here..

the little grey sleeve that fits on tip of the header between the header and the exaust mount that keeps the stock exhaust from leaking air

is anybody using anything for that other than the stock grey sleeve thing, that little fucker always tears up and cost like 25 buck 4 new one, if anyone has any solution or ideas that would be real cool thanks

Not sure if this would work but im probably going to end up slapping some aluminum tape on there to get a better seal/contact. Worth a shot atleast.

I've used that exhaust patch stuff on there before. Not the aluminum stuff. It's like a reddish color with a brown paper you have to remove. Stuff works great! When I get home I can take a pic of it, just used some to seal the joint on my f4i header to zx6 exhaust

if headers get loose and you get a exahast leak, the heat from the leak ruins the gasket.

get a new set, tighen from inner cylinders out, let engine get hot then cool, retighten and those will last forever, if you need to pull header, just repeat that process and your good

are you thinking about the header gaskets, or that grey gasket on the tip that u need for the stock exhaust not to leak?

ive shitted up a couple of them from my exhaust falling off and them getting all wadded up in there

I'd like to see if that works too. After removing your can multiple times the gasket that comes with it starts disintegrating. It's like a $24 part as well.

I threw some exhaust weld ( i think its called ) on mine. but i also cut some slots in the part that slides over the header so that it pinches down for a tighter fit. havnt had any problems.

Do you have a stock can? The stock ones come like that.

No stock can I have a two bros cut down slip on that i made a midpipe for with whatever size pipe fit over the header the best.
