f4i dirt bars what will work?
#1
F4i- I just ordeded the FI risers and pro taper 1 1/8" contour atv lows, I need brake, clutch lever, idk what to do with the throttle and i need grips and idk what else to make it work, Ive read i can keep the stock throttle cable and clutch cable but idk if it will work on my bike.
Wanna get the rest ordered asap its gonna be nice outside soon, be gentle on the newb

well im really not sure how the throttle will work since tstock throttle will slide over 1 1/8 bars? do u need a special clutch lever to fit the cable?

the new bars are bigger then stock clip ons, itd be sweet if i could rock a thumb throttle cause thats what im used to, bet nobody on here has thumb throttle though.......

1 1/8 bars are only 1 1/8 at the clamp area, they are 7/8 from the contour up. Stock clutch perch and cable will reach but will have to be rerouted.

there are a few people rockin a thumb throttle out there, your prob gonna have to reroute your cables to make them work but they should, an the throttle tube will jus slide on like it does on your factory clip-ons, you can drill a hole to hold them in place like the factory set-up to make sure it dont move but its not neccessary

be sure to LEAVE JUST A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THROTTLE TUBE OFF END OF BAR SO THE GRIP DOESNT CATCH AND MAKE YOUR THROTTLE STICK! common sense i know and im sure you know but you can never be too safe lol. also check demensions of bars, some are wider across than other, dont loose hope if you have wide DB's and a cable is barley short of making it...

Yo homie I put high bend tag bars on my f4i, stock front end, didnt have to change anything, had to figure out how to run my lines, some go under the bars between the risers. Just make sure to drill your hole exactly for your throtle tube or it will lmove around on ya. My front break lines JUST reach, no problems! Came from riding moto, and DB bars are sick!

I find that if you are looking for buying/ selling parts stuntlife is better. For advice this seems to be ther place.
Is this just me?
I commented on this post on SL, then checked here and people here are saying the same thing I was there. Good to know I wasn't off base.
